Have you ever asked someone for help, only to find they didn’t follow through—or didn’t do it the way you hoped? So you just do it yourself. And over time, that “I’ll just handle it” mindset becomes a habit. You stop asking. You start carrying more than you were meant to.
Maybe that’s not your story, but I know it’s been mine. There have been seasons where I’ve gone solo, feeling like I’m carrying the weight of everything on my own.
But then I was reading Nehemiah 3, and something beautiful caught my attention. As the people began rebuilding the wall, it starts with the high priest repairing the Sheep Gate. Then it says, “next to him…” someone else built. And “next to him…” another. Over and over, up to verse 16, it paints a picture of side-by-side restoration.
It reminded me that we were never meant to build alone. Especially as believers, we are called to link arms, lift each other up, and build together in Christ.
📖 1 Thessalonians 5:11
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up…”
This mission of faith isn’t a solo journey—it’s a shared calling. We’re not just called to stand next to fellow believers, but to live in such a way that invites others into the fold. To reflect Christ so clearly that others are drawn in.
And here’s the part that stirred me deeply: in verse 16, the language shifts from “next to him” to “after him.”
That’s legacy.
That’s impact beyond the moment.
That’s the ripple effect of a life lived for Christ.
Your faith, your obedience, your love—it doesn’t stop with you. It moves through you to everyone you touch. The way you live matters. The way you build matters. And the legacy you leave will echo far beyond your lifetime.
So today, let’s choose to build together. To encourage. To stand side by side. And to live in a way that leaves a trail of grace behind us.

One response to “We need each other”
“ we were never meant to build alone. Especially as believers, we are called to link arms, lift each other up, and build together in Christ” so good, yes, let’s leave the legacy of a trail of Grace behind us.…..
