Yesterday, I launched my second book for the year of 2023 (making seven published books now!) which is actually pretty surprising as it normally takes years to publish a book for me. I must be getting a good rhythm down with my writing.
Whenever I’m publishing a new book it always brings excitement and a little bit of paranoia of how it will be received and if I missed anything while editing or if my editor missed something that I also missed the third or fourth or fifth time of going through and reading it.
I think anyone can agree that when you pour your heart and soul into something, once you release it out into the world there is a little bit of anxiety that happens. A period where you wonder if it was the right thing or if you should’ve changed something or if you should’ve even done it at all. Even if you know it’s a gifting and it’s something that you’ve been called to do, I think we all deal with a period of doubt.
So, where do we go when we have that anxiety? That doubt?
Sure we turn to family and friends often. They will always tell us the truth and encourage us right?
Yes, I would hope so, and I am so grateful for the family and friends that have encouraged me with my writing, but I find that I need to turn to my Creator even more so. What He says is more important than anything else.
He has given me a gift to tell stories and I am so grateful for that imagination and the ability to have published seven books. I know that not everyone will like them, but those that do hopefully it will impact them regardless if there are grammatical errors I may have missed (even big authors have that happen!). With every book I write, I hope it takes the reader on an adventure and touches their hearts.
Don’t doubt the dreams and giftings that God has put in your heart. Keep moving forward!

Can’t wait to read your newest released book “Alex unveiled” as I am anticipating that it will keep me enthralled and wanting to read more ~ to the point where I can’t put the book down , as your other books have done. And I’m not even a good or avid reader, so that is a very high compliment and endorsement.😃
